Stephanie first heard her calling while dealing with a long battle with illness beginning in her early twenties. Through a deep dedication to the practice she now lives a healthy life full of renewed radiance! Her intention is to cultivate these practices within each of her students.
With more than 9,000 hours of teaching under her belt Stephanie is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) with the National Yoga Alliance through internationally acclaimed yoga master, Francois Raoult. Along with her certification in Yoga, Stephanie is proud to be a part of the Female Pelvis Revolution as a certified Pelvic Floor Trainer! She has also completed Basic and Advanced Restorative Teacher training under restoring guru, Judith H. Lasater, Back Care and Scoliosis Training under founder Elise Browning Miller, Pilates Mat and Apparatus Certification under Addison Heffernan and currently Pranayama Teacher Training under the guidance of her teacher, Francois Raoult. Additional studies include: Yoga Immersion with Senior Iyengar Teacher Patricia Walden, Yoga History and Philosophy with Douglas Brookes, PhD, Yoga Philosophy with Edwin Bryant, PhD, Physiology with Roger Cole, PhD, Anatomy with Laura Allard-Antelmi, RIYT, Ayurveda with Sonam Tagree and Kinesiology with Daniel Too, PhD. Along with this, Stephanie brings a background in professional dance. She is deeply dedicated to her practice and her studies, traveling to Mother India in 2008 to see the birthplace of Yoga and continue her journey in self discovery. She is well versed in injury prevention, movement re-education and therapeutic modalities through the use of these methods.
Stephanie's teaching credits include: Yoga Coordinator for Wegmans, Founder of Beyond Center for Yoga and Pilates, Open Sky Yoga Center, Midtown Athletic Club, The Rochester Institute of Technology, SUNY Brockport Dept. of Dance, The Chautauqua Institute, The Wegmans Organic Farm as well as other local and national institutes. She is also assistant to Ms. Judith H. Lasater during Restorative Yoga Teacher Training's.
Stephanie wishes to give great thanks and praise to her teachers, without whom she would not be where she is today. She would like to acknowledge most especially her beloved teacher, Francois Raoult, for helping her find her way back to the source. She is forever grateful for the wisdom each has imparted on her which has shaped her into the person, and teacher she is today. She wishes to dedicate all her teaching to this lineage with sincere gratitude. Namaste.
